Eye-opening Q1 stats
January to March is always a funny one, especially when it comes to selling or buying a home. Firstly, it feels like January is never going to end. Nope, no way. It’s almost as if January has 42 days and it’s never going to get light again.
February is then guilt riddled with Valentine’s day and well, a month so short our watches feel like they’ve been betrayed.
Then it’s March. March starts to gradually get lighter until we are rudely losing sleep on the final weekend.
All in all, it’s a weird first quarter for everyone and for us as Chester’s Leading Estate Agent for CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4 we are keen to make sure that even when the weather and the dates are all skew-if we deliver our stellar service.
So, what does that actually look like?

Enquiries
Classed as people actually picking up a phone, asking for more information or downloading guides from our site – and even emailing our team are up 23.9% compared to 2024.
Viewings
Well, this is pretty self explanatory isn’t it? This is the amount of people going to view a property. We were up a staggering 39.6% for the first quarter or in the amount of steps that Gareth, Sammy and the team were completing… millions. We had 795 viewings successfully completed in this period which is unheard of for many in Chester.
Valuations
Getting a home valuation is critical to any sale but, getting a home value where demand picks up, entices buyers and is right for the seller for their next step to move forwards is the perfect venn diagram. (We are not going to draw that diagram though, Gareth will be jealous with his pens!)
Between January and March we completed 217 valuations, or in other words, we were up 42.4% from 2024. Another sign of the shift in the marketplace right now.
New listings
And from valuations to new listings the leap isn’t that far. In fact, our team did a great job of making the valuations really stand out – we definitely hit that sweet spot. We increased our listings by another whopping 41.2%.
Sale agreed
Finally the one that home sellers want to really know. How many of these new homes to market did we sell? Well, between January and March we sold 78 properties which is up 32.1% from 2024.
What is the point in telling you all of this?
It’s not to show-off.
We are after all Chester’s best kept independent estate agent secret. (Yep, that’s a mouthful and another reason how you can tell a human wrote this and not some throwaway machine…)
