Crime rates:

Just 2 years ago, the University of Chester was named the safest city-based university institution in the North West. Actually, it’s ranked 24th in the whole country out of ALL universities, which we think is still pretty impressive. Alongside this, crime rates in Chester city centre are renowned for being pretty low. In the city centre itself, there were 342 crimes reported in August 2017. Compared to similar cities like Oxford (522) and York (594), we feel pretty safe.

Let’s talk celebrities. Which famous faces were born in Chester? Perhaps the most exciting one of all – James Bond himself, Daniel Craig. The next one is maybe not so exciting, but as estate agents, we’re inclined to be interested in this one: architect John Douglas came into the world here. Michael Owen, most famously known as Liverpool striker, was born in Chester! Olympic medallist Beth Tweddle was also born here.
